Covergirl Blast Tropical Fusion and Fire Cracker

I saw this awesome pallet of colors while watching America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 yesterday. While I could never pull off a bold look like this (I like to stick to my brown and cream shadows) I think this is a beautiful color set and looks absolutely amazing on the eye!

In HIS Time

I had a dream last week that we got it, we finally got it! It was incredible! The dream was not so much the event of receiving the email, but the initial entry. We went through and the nice smiling man gave us our stamps, and said "welcome". The feeling was unbelievable, such a relief, joy, weak in the knees, and an outpour of emotion. It felt like winning the lottery or....well, there is no other comparasin feeling I can describe. Bags were unpacked, life was started, and a feeling of renewal, rebirth and permanancy was finally felt. It felt so real. Too real to not eventually happen. It must happen, right Lord? This is our desire.

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass" Psalm 37:4,5

I don't know how the monkey that growled at me when I tried to pet it fitted into the dream, but the beaches and jungles and roads with beautiful trees and animals were overwhelming, as was the amount of love outpoured from people we did not even know. One of the more prominant screen shots in the dream was of a turqouise lagoon will peaks and caves and beautiful white sand.

My husband has a feeling about November 6th, but I am feeling sometime in March. What a great way to celebrate our 2 year anniversary!

In my moments of doubt or worry, I often think of that song "In His Time" and I immediately feel peaceful and know that God is in control, and this will all work out in HIS Time.

The Wonderful World Of Vector Art

This stuff is so crazy and so beautiful!

I was able to get a free copy of Photoshop downloaded onto my new laptop (virus free as well) and I started to work through the online manual to be able to divulge into this creative world. But I got scared off by the technicality of this kind of graphic design, so I put it on the back burner for about 6 months. Well, I think I might be ready to give it a go again. Vector art is so incredible, especially for someone who is as creative as I am. So in order to get my motivation running again, I am going to start collecting images I find online of vector art that I love and store them in my blog.

Oh How I Love Her

I love everything about this ensemble! The sash, the checkered scarf, the cute white sunnies and berret. Actually...I'm not too fond of what she's trying to do with her footwear.....are they black uggs, are they black slip ons, or are they an unhuman extension of her skinny jeans?

A New Member To The Family

So....ummm...I guess we have a dog now!

Too long of a story, but we now have a 10 year old min-pin. She was my husband's dog for 8 years, and after a 2 year hiatus, he has her back. And boy is she ever his sucky baby!

I've never been a dog person (as I have a cat) but it sure is fun dressing her up. My first ebay purchase was the pink booties. Adorable!

Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh!

Betsey Johnson has a real life Barbie house! Her whole house is pink!

I get excited just picking out Barbie furniture for my step daughter, but to know that someone actually lives like this........so jealous! Loves it!

Maybe One Day

After playing The Da Vinci Code game for PS2 and then re-watching to movie to see the similarities to the game, I have a HUGE fascination with the Louvre and the other historical sites in the movie, such as Westminster Abby, and Rosalyn Chapel. Before watching that movie.......the Louvre could have been in Texas for all I knew. Nope...historical culture was not my strong point in school. But if you need your dinner tab calculated to the penny (including tax), and I'm your girl.

Maybe one day I will make it to Paris, but the first historical vacation I want to go on is a trek through Israel.

Simply Beautiful!

I've always loved Nicole, and I was stunned when I came across this photo. *sigh*

Do I NEED A Reason?

Have I read her book? No
Have I seen more than 10 minutes of her show? No
Do I love her? Yes

UPDATE: Ok, now I have watched her whole 6-episode season, and now I REALLY love her! She is just so incredible! Obviously her vintage taste and style, but more her humor and attitude towards life. Ugghhh I love everything about her! Even though I feel very strongly about animal rights, no one can strut around in a fur coat or wrap while sporting her designer "sunnies" like Rachel Zoe can!
I absolutely love her interaction with Roger (they are so cute), and he reminds me of my husband (a man filled with endless amounts of patience). I love her catch phrases, "shut if down", "banannas", and "I'd die". I think I might steal the first two for myself :)
Taylor is the worlds worst bitch, although, she reminds me A LOT of myself, and I'd probably be the only other assistant that she could work with, as I am the biggest perfectionist and organizer!
She has to come back for more seasons (longer ones), she would shut it down!

Posh Pearls

I can't remember exactly which episode, but on Season 4 of The Hills, Lauren had on a beautiful array of pearls with a simple tank top. It looked so posh. I want to find a bunch of different sizes and lengths just like this pic and wear them all together with jeans and a tank. Could I pull it off as well as she can? Strolling around FIDM or S Bar would probably help my cause, but unfortunetly I am confined to my trips to the gym, my office in an oil refinery, or my 7-11 runs.

What A Wonderful Husband I Have

I came home from work on Monday to a wonderful surprise. On the counter was a dozen roses, with two small jewellery boxes tucked in between the branches.

My eyes lit up (but then my stomach sank hoping my huby didn't spend a swank of money on REAL diamonds. I opened the boxes and in each was a pair of studs. One pair was a princess cut and one pair was a round cut.

I asked him if they were real and he said yes, that he had saved up $2600. He had me convinced for a while, but finally said they were CZ (phew!!)

He decided to treat me because I was really upset last month when I lost one of my other CZ studs. I had the studs for 12 years, and I purchased them with my own money. Even though they were only 60.00 at the time, that's a lot of money to a 13 year old with no job. I had been so proud of myself for not losing them (in the many moves I have been through in the last decade) but finally while painting the bathroom......one must have slipped out of the box.

But now I have two pairs! Thanks to my babe. Hmmm...maybe I should lose my LV Poppincourt.....maybe then he'll buy me TWO replacement bags!

My New Want

Sorry LV, you've been off my mind for a few weeks, and you can blame Christian Louboutin........or so I thought.
I had been searching the internet for the "it" shoe of 2007. The one that Ashley Simpson, Christina Aguillera, The Olsons, Nicole Ritchie, Posh, and Hillary Duff have been seen wearing.

I thought it was Christian Louboutin, so you can imagine my frustration when I couldn't understand why Neiman Marcus, Nordstoms, and Saks did not have this shoe!
I thought I was going crazy, until I discovered that this wonderful piece of art is made by YSL.
Yup, I felt dumb but was so thankful to have found my new "want" item.

It's called the Tribute Sandal by YSL. They also make the Tribute Pump which was my original search item, but the sandal makes more sense cause I already have a pair from Aldo that look JUST like the Tribute Pump (see pic).

So...that being said, I am in love with the Tribute Sandal (see below pic). I want it in blue, but I would settle for red. I don't think any crazy expensive purchases are in the near future, so I might have to settle for the 49.99 knock off on ioffer.com. $760.00 is just too much for a pair of shoes. I could get an authentic speedy for that price (see Louis, I never forgot about you).
Isn't she gorgeous !?!

A Great New Country Band

So last week I was peddleing away on the stationary bike at the gym watching CMT. After 4 weeks at the gym, I finally realized that I can plug my earphones into the bike and watch any one of the TV's. DUH
A song came on CMT, and the girls voice caught my attention right away and her appearance was just as striking. A country singer wearing a fedora. She had a "fergie" look to her in that video. Then a guy chimes in and the song becomes a duet. The piano player was amazing. I absolutely loved this video. It turns out they are a trio called Lady Antebellum (don't get me started on the name). It was such a beautiful song and captured me for the next 4 minutes. As soon as I got home, I immediately downloaded both the song and the sheet music, and it's now one of my fav songs on my iPod.

The song is called "All We'd Ever Need". I think these guys are going to be huge. They are opening up for Martina McBride's tour right now and I expect to see a lot more of them in the future.

Is This Denise Richards?

I came across this pic when I typed in "short blonde hair" in google (!?!?!?!)
I just love this pic in general and the wildness of her hair. The body looks way to small to be Denise Richards, but the face is dead on? And what event is she at? Dallas Cowboys Reject Cheerleaders? Hmmm
