Paper Planes...UPS Trucks....What?

I first heard "Paper Planes", a poor attempt of a "crossover" song at my Gym in September. I remember hearing bomb sound effects and what seemed to be a "tough-girl" trying to "establish" herself in the 'hood with lyrics that claim endless VISA's in her name, delivering her "goods" in UPS trucks and "weed and bones". Maybe I am missing something, but I don't know where the "paper planes" part becomes relevent other than her claiming to be high. I have read the lyrics and laughed out loud a few times. So with that said....this little "artist" is called M.I.A. Apparently the music world credits her with successfully crossing over into mainstream hip-hop.

After researching a little bit about her, she has a decent story but I still think she is a trainwreck. What seems to be a sweet looking girl has turned into a hardly recognizable woman in the hip hop industry (if you can even give her THAT much). I don't know how anyone can stand listening to her "hit" song with the constant popping of bullets in the backgroung, and what tries to be a "Reggae" style of speech mid-song as she rambles something about democracy in the third world. I then looked into a few other songs she has, and I couldn't even get past the 30 second mark.

So as I was stirring up inside about her and her joke of a song, it reminded me of little miss Britney Spears; she started out young and innocent, and as the years went on she turned into her own trainwreck of an artist. I put together a sequence of pictures with M.I.A on the left and Britney on the right as they progress from young and innocent to crazy and out of control (especially in the last photo).
