A New Member To The Family

So....ummm...I guess we have a dog now!

Too long of a story, but we now have a 10 year old min-pin. She was my husband's dog for 8 years, and after a 2 year hiatus, he has her back. And boy is she ever his sucky baby!

I've never been a dog person (as I have a cat) but it sure is fun dressing her up. My first ebay purchase was the pink booties. Adorable!

Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh!

Betsey Johnson has a real life Barbie house! Her whole house is pink!

I get excited just picking out Barbie furniture for my step daughter, but to know that someone actually lives like this........so jealous! Loves it!

Maybe One Day

After playing The Da Vinci Code game for PS2 and then re-watching to movie to see the similarities to the game, I have a HUGE fascination with the Louvre and the other historical sites in the movie, such as Westminster Abby, and Rosalyn Chapel. Before watching that movie.......the Louvre could have been in Texas for all I knew. Nope...historical culture was not my strong point in school. But if you need your dinner tab calculated to the penny (including tax), and I'm your girl.

Maybe one day I will make it to Paris, but the first historical vacation I want to go on is a trek through Israel.

Simply Beautiful!

I've always loved Nicole, and I was stunned when I came across this photo. *sigh*

Do I NEED A Reason?

Have I read her book? No
Have I seen more than 10 minutes of her show? No
Do I love her? Yes

UPDATE: Ok, now I have watched her whole 6-episode season, and now I REALLY love her! She is just so incredible! Obviously her vintage taste and style, but more her humor and attitude towards life. Ugghhh I love everything about her! Even though I feel very strongly about animal rights, no one can strut around in a fur coat or wrap while sporting her designer "sunnies" like Rachel Zoe can!
I absolutely love her interaction with Roger (they are so cute), and he reminds me of my husband (a man filled with endless amounts of patience). I love her catch phrases, "shut if down", "banannas", and "I'd die". I think I might steal the first two for myself :)
Taylor is the worlds worst bitch, although, she reminds me A LOT of myself, and I'd probably be the only other assistant that she could work with, as I am the biggest perfectionist and organizer!
She has to come back for more seasons (longer ones), she would shut it down!

Posh Pearls

I can't remember exactly which episode, but on Season 4 of The Hills, Lauren had on a beautiful array of pearls with a simple tank top. It looked so posh. I want to find a bunch of different sizes and lengths just like this pic and wear them all together with jeans and a tank. Could I pull it off as well as she can? Strolling around FIDM or S Bar would probably help my cause, but unfortunetly I am confined to my trips to the gym, my office in an oil refinery, or my 7-11 runs.

What A Wonderful Husband I Have

I came home from work on Monday to a wonderful surprise. On the counter was a dozen roses, with two small jewellery boxes tucked in between the branches.

My eyes lit up (but then my stomach sank hoping my huby didn't spend a swank of money on REAL diamonds. I opened the boxes and in each was a pair of studs. One pair was a princess cut and one pair was a round cut.

I asked him if they were real and he said yes, that he had saved up $2600. He had me convinced for a while, but finally said they were CZ (phew!!)

He decided to treat me because I was really upset last month when I lost one of my other CZ studs. I had the studs for 12 years, and I purchased them with my own money. Even though they were only 60.00 at the time, that's a lot of money to a 13 year old with no job. I had been so proud of myself for not losing them (in the many moves I have been through in the last decade) but finally while painting the bathroom......one must have slipped out of the box.

But now I have two pairs! Thanks to my babe. Hmmm...maybe I should lose my LV Poppincourt.....maybe then he'll buy me TWO replacement bags!

My New Want

Sorry LV, you've been off my mind for a few weeks, and you can blame Christian Louboutin........or so I thought.
I had been searching the internet for the "it" shoe of 2007. The one that Ashley Simpson, Christina Aguillera, The Olsons, Nicole Ritchie, Posh, and Hillary Duff have been seen wearing.

I thought it was Christian Louboutin, so you can imagine my frustration when I couldn't understand why Neiman Marcus, Nordstoms, and Saks did not have this shoe!
I thought I was going crazy, until I discovered that this wonderful piece of art is made by YSL.
Yup, I felt dumb but was so thankful to have found my new "want" item.

It's called the Tribute Sandal by YSL. They also make the Tribute Pump which was my original search item, but the sandal makes more sense cause I already have a pair from Aldo that look JUST like the Tribute Pump (see pic).

So...that being said, I am in love with the Tribute Sandal (see below pic). I want it in blue, but I would settle for red. I don't think any crazy expensive purchases are in the near future, so I might have to settle for the 49.99 knock off on ioffer.com. $760.00 is just too much for a pair of shoes. I could get an authentic speedy for that price (see Louis, I never forgot about you).
Isn't she gorgeous !?!

A Great New Country Band

So last week I was peddleing away on the stationary bike at the gym watching CMT. After 4 weeks at the gym, I finally realized that I can plug my earphones into the bike and watch any one of the TV's. DUH
A song came on CMT, and the girls voice caught my attention right away and her appearance was just as striking. A country singer wearing a fedora. She had a "fergie" look to her in that video. Then a guy chimes in and the song becomes a duet. The piano player was amazing. I absolutely loved this video. It turns out they are a trio called Lady Antebellum (don't get me started on the name). It was such a beautiful song and captured me for the next 4 minutes. As soon as I got home, I immediately downloaded both the song and the sheet music, and it's now one of my fav songs on my iPod.

The song is called "All We'd Ever Need". I think these guys are going to be huge. They are opening up for Martina McBride's tour right now and I expect to see a lot more of them in the future.

Is This Denise Richards?

I came across this pic when I typed in "short blonde hair" in google (!?!?!?!)
I just love this pic in general and the wildness of her hair. The body looks way to small to be Denise Richards, but the face is dead on? And what event is she at? Dallas Cowboys Reject Cheerleaders? Hmmm

Yippeeeeee!!!

Was that not the B-E-S-T episode of The Office you've ever seen? What a way to start off season 5! I can honestly say that I loved everything about this episode and it is now my new fav episode ever!

Moments I loved:

1) Obviously Jim's proposal...wow how romantic and unexpected. I thought he was going to
drive to meet her and tell her he was jealous of her new life. I did shed a tear.
2) Phyllis's tyranical take over of the "party planning committee". She did a great job filling Angela's shoes and her delegation a-la-Angela was hillarious!
3) How priceless was it when Holly tries to defend Kevin against Angela's "retard" scolding. I laughed and laughed!
4) I am actually now rooting for Dwight and Angela, they are meant to be together, and last nights warehouse romps were proof of that. Go away Andy.
5) Ok I can't beleive I put this one at number 5: RYAN RETURNING AS A TEMP! Oh my goodness....that was awesome! Such a great plot from the writers. It's going to be great hearing mr. "wonderkid" saying "Dunfer Mifflin this is Ryan". The battle of the goatees was great also!
6) I thought Kelly pulled off the "starving-malnurished- lemon-diet" look very well. She looked scary and horrible, but great impersonation of this diet (my best friend has done it). It did freak me out when she passed out though.
7) Ok this is not a fav moment, but I gotta ask....WHAT was up with Meredith's face? Did anyone else notice the red splotchy patches (almost like a rash) in the first 1/2 hr? Then it was gone all of a sudden. It wasn't the rabies thing was it?

Oh and while I was searching Google for a photo for this entry, I came across this photo which happens to be my favorite scene from the whole series. Jim imitates Dwight, and Dwight imitates Jim. If it weren't for his bugging eyes, Dwight might actually pass as datable in this pic.

Ah it was a wonderful night.

Seriously?

Ok, I used to think that "Groundhog Day" was the stupidest movie, well this week I found one to top it.

Now, I am a huge fan of silly movies such as the "Scary Movie" series, the "American Pie" series, and most of the National Lampoon series. So I thought I would get my monies worth when I saw this little number in the $5.00 bin at Walmart, especially because I love Paris Hilton as well (not so much her acting, but everything else about her).

Well I can tell you that I think I overpaid by $4.98. I knew I bought the unrated verstion but the dirty scenes and jokes were not even remotely funny. They touched on issues like girl-on-girl action, a girl's first experience with a vibrator, and of course they had the token lesbian, cougar, and foreign-accented characters.

I have never wanted to turn one of these "funny satirical" movies off before but the way this film was directed is almost too horrible for words, especially to have the huge backing of the "National Lampoon" name. I sat and watched not sure if I was most shocked by how dumb this was or by how disgusting the jokes were. It was completely horrible all around. So horrible that I tossed it in the garbage as soon as I was done (it took all I had just to finish it.....thanks to Bell ExpressVu for being down that night, leaving movies the only option for me to watch).

Ugggh, I am at a loss for words on this one.

A Collection Of Interesting Pics

So, I don't know who these women are or what this picture is for, but its fab.

What great images, I don't even know what they are for....fashion I am assuming?

Ugggghhh....I love everything about it. Such beautiful photographs, so elegant and peaceful

Couples from "The Office"......why is michael wearing no pants in the upper left shot?

Sometimes on the net I come across really cool pictures, and what better place to store them than on my own blog. Enjoy

Such A Good Read

I absolutely L-O-V-E celebrity bio's and tell-all's, and was overcome with glee when the library called and told me my book was in. Within the first night I was half way through it and found her sTORI telling ability to be very refreshing.

When I got to chapter 13 and 14, it hit home with me. It was exactly how I was feeling a few years ago and relates to how me and my husband ended up together. The way she was wording things, it was almost though I had written it. It felt calming to know that someone else went through the same thing and decided to go for for the gold (true love). I am so happy for her.

Now I have to wait 2 weeks for "Through The Storm" (Lynn Spears's tell-all) to come out.
